It starts with You and me. What is it that I am talking about? Help or Support for the needy. In the recent past, we believed that Bazungu or Mzungu was a term to mean the rich!!!!! My experience and interactions with several of them irrespective of originality i.e Europe, USA, Australia or anywhere else has proven that is wrong. These are people that are just very good at planning, very good at sacrifice and very good at giving!!! It is that simple. So, I together with my wife decided to step out of our own comforts and do little by little of the steps our white or Mzungu brethren do. We founded The Gift Kids Foundation. We have had to sacrifice, to plan a lot and to give. Giving out what????? Everything!!!!! Time, money, experiences, love, guidance, care and just being available for those that need us. We have done and are still doing that through God's help and we are glad to be creating a positive impact in this nation-UGANDA. We have broken down sometimes, yes, broken down sometimes. Why? Because we have met hindrances, challenges and those people trying to put us down with discouraging words, attitude to mention but a few. BUT, we have not yielded and given up. WHY? God has proven He is with us in the boat!!! He has stood with us to date. We appreciate the fact that every moment we have almost given up, God has given us just a small sign of progress. Little by little we live, and we move and we thrive. So, we continue to believe that possibly you too can join us in this journey. Every one of us is able to do exploits and massive things if at all we all believe; it is possible. You might be wondering how you can be part of our journey???? Just gather clothes, shoes, bedding materials, scholastic materials, house-hold materials, clean them, arrange them. They don't have to be new!!!! Usually these are things that are rotting or getting wasted in our houses yet there are those praying they would have them. We are gathering them at our offices in Bugolobi and are so happy to see that those that have known about this, have continued to bring them, calling us to pick them etc. You too can. It starts with you and me, together we can.
